Shipping Operations Coordinator
Job description
In charge of the operational shipping and logistics for Multisport Events, as well Tours and sole events, you will be the referent with local custom authorities, and local chamber of commerce. At the same time, you will have to organise the follow-up of all safety regulations such as IATA regulations on dangerous goods, IMDG regulations, ADR regulations.
Working with both internal (sports services production, warehouse, finance, sales and innovation & development department) and external (trucking companies, customs authorities, local chamber of commerce, Swiss Timing worldwide agents) contacts, you will be responsible for controlling invoicing.
As part of your position, you will also be responsible for the implementation of new processes and the continuous improvement of service levels under the supervision of the Shipping Manager.
Profile
You have a confirmed experience in Freight Forwarder. An apprenticeship in this area would be a very good asset. You have a perfect knowledge in airfreight transportation, as well as good knowledge in seafreight and roadfreight transportation.
Able to work independently with minimum direction and process focused, you pay attention to detail and have a real ability to multi-task. Autonomous and team-player, you have excellent organisational skills and are flexible. Ready to travel in Leipzig (Germany) and to some of our Multisport Events as Olympic Games, or other Events held in various countries, you are a sport enthusiast.
Professional requirements
- Experience in Freight Forwarder
- Very good knowledge in airfreight, seafreight and roadfreight transportation
Languages
- Fluent in French and English
- German is an asset
