For our Leipzig office and in close cooperation with our colleagues from our parent company SWISS TIMING located in Switzerland, we are looking for a

Desktop Software Automation Test Engineer (m/f/d)

You will be in charge of the automation of our desktop software solutions while working directly with manual testers and development engineers.
Creation of automation test cases will be an important task as part of the position we are offering. You will run automation tests during various development stages (functional testing, integration testing, regression testing) and suggest continuous automation testing process improvement, including test case evolution. Defects logging during the automation test execution phase will be required, as well as reporting test results. You will maintain the automation test cases library in Microsoft Team Foundation Server (DevOps).

Profile

Your Job:

  • You will lead all automation testing activities and act as a point of contact for automation
  • You will establish automation testing as an fundamental part of the development process
  • You will derive high quality test cases by analyzing software requirements and acceptance criterias
  • You will automate test cases using tools and scripting
  • You will execute test cases on different test environments 
  • You will document test results and create defect and test reports

Your Profile:

  • You have strong communication skills and a high team orientation

  • You are self-organized, able to prioritize according to deadlines
  • You take the initiative and have ownership of work
  • Your work is detailed, methodical and efficient

  • You have an interest in the sport domain and an understanding of the characteristics of the sport business
  • You are willing to travel as required (max. 20%)

Professional requirements

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Ideally, you gathered 3+ years of automation experience in all phases of testing
  • You have a good understanding of quality assurance life cycle, methodologies and best practices
  • You have experience with Agile methodology (SCRUM) and the usage of test automation frameworks
  • You have the knowledge of various test environment setups
  • Fundamental understanding of software languages (C#, scripting) and test automation tools
  • You are familiar with the Microsoft Office suite
  • You have experience with the Microsoft Team Foundation Server (DevOps)
  • You have good written and oral skills in English

Benefitial:

  • Good written and oral skills in German 
  • ISTQB certification (Foundation Level), Advanced Level Test Automation is a plus
  • Experience in setting up a test automation pipeline from scratch
  • Knowledge of Ranorex test automation tool
