The Starting Gate has been designed and developed by SWISS TIMING in collaboration with the International Cycling Union (UCI). The system is used worldwide by our sister company and the official timekeeper of the UCI, TISSOT TIMING.

It is used on events such as Individual and Team Pursuit, 500 meters Time Trial, 1Km Time Trial and Team Sprint.

When linked to Tracker countdown start device, they ensure a fully automated start sequence. After a programmable countdown time with audible signals, the Tracker perfectly synchronises the start signal to the timing system, the opening of the Starting Gates and the starting sound.

The Starting Gate may also be used as a stand-alone training unit using a manual trigger.

SWISS TIMING Starting Gates are homologated by the UCI for national and international competitions.
